TKMA Member Song Circle

Sunday, March 11, 2018
2:00 – 4:30 PM

RAICES TALLER ART GALLERY
218 E 6th Street

SPECIAL GUESTS:  Sandy Hathaway & Eric Douglas

Hello TKMA Members
(and future members)!

Your TKMA Membership Guys, Don Copler and Teodoro Ted Ramirez, are hosting another TKMA Song Circle on March 11th at the Raices Taller Art Gallery!

All TKMA members, in good standing, are invited to join us and share songs and stories – this is free-of- charge and part of your TKMA membership benefits.

If it’s time to renew your annual membership, or if you are thinking about joining our TKMA family – the Song Circle is an easy and friendly way to do so!

Remember 100% of your membership fees go to support the Tucson Folk Festival. This year our national headliner is the great Poky LaFarge.

TKMA is an all-volunteer organization – all donations go to support our annual Tucson Folk Festival and associated events.  We, the volunteers, are paying members and very happy to donate our time to TKMA simply because we love the Tucson folk music scene and the people connected to this wonderful tradition!

Join us on March 11th at 2:00 p.m. for 2-1/2 hours of fun and music! The gallery offers refreshments and snacks for a very modest charge, and best of all we have an opportunity to share our music.

The public is also encouraged to join us to play or to listen – bring your acoustic instruments and voices and join us – all we ask of the public is a small donation to both TKMA and the Gallery – it helps them keep the lights on.

We will present our Song Circle special guest artists in a nice 30-minute set to start us off.  Here’s a little information on our special guest artists:  Sandy Hathaway and Eric Douglas:

Sandy Hathaway is a daydreaming artist from West Michigan Lakeshore. She taught herself to play guitar at eight and studied classical and voice as an adult. Her music sounds similar to Dar Williams, Joni Mitchell and Patty Griffin. Sandy’s songs contain vivid descriptions and metaphors that transport the listener to a country garden or a dirt road. andy was a Top Ten Finalist in the Tucson Folk Festival songwriting contest in 2004 , 2016 and 2017. She placed second in 2017 country songwriting contest by West Valley Country Music Association. Visit Sandy online at https://sandyhathaway.com

Eric Douglas combines contemporary folk, classic rock, and Texas country to tell stories of people finding their place in the world, for better or worse. Eric paints an American landscape in words, with songs from the Southwestern desert, the Great Plains, and the open road. Visit Eric online at http://ericdouglasmusic.com

Any questions – shoot me an email: Ted@tedramirez or give me a call – 520-981-2240.  If I do not answer, please leave a message (my ringer is usually off), and I will call you back ASAP.

Thank you and see you soon!
