Bicycles at the Tucson Folk Festival

Ride, Bike, or Drive

Public Transit:

Public Transit is still no cost for the Festival Dates.

  • SUN TRAN offers public transportation to Downtown Tucson. SunTran’s Ronstadt Transit Center is just two blocks southeast of Jacomé Plaza. 
  • SUNLINK STREET CAR: The “Church and Congress” stop gets you the closest to the festival.
  • SUN VAN ADA-accessible transport.

Bicycle:

Lots of bike racks downtown!

Driving:

  1. From I-10, we recommend exiting on St Mary’s Street and heading East.
  2. Turn Right (South) on Church.
  3. Bear left (East) on Franklin.
  4. Turn South on Stone Ave.
  5. Public Works Garage and the Main Library Garage are both just West of Stone on Alameda, and Pima County El Presidio Garage is about .2 miles further.

These parking garages are identified as large gold stars on the map below.

Street Closures:

 

Friday, April 10 (beginning 6:00 AM):

  • Church Ave: Pennington → Alameda
  • Pennington: Church Ave →Stone
  • Telles: Meyer → Court
  • Court Ave: Council → Alameda

Saturday, April 11 (beginning 5:00 AM):

  • Church Ave: Alameda → Council (additional closure)
  • Pennington St: Church → Stone
  • Alameda (eastbound): Main → Church. Access to Presidio Garage will be maintained

All streets will reopen by 5:30 AM on Monday, April 13.

Stage Locations

All festival stages are outdoors, within easy walking distance of one another, and free to attend. Chairs are provided at each stage and are not reservable. Attendees are welcome to bring their own folding chairs, provided they do not obstruct the view of others.

Free on evenings (Monday – Saturday, after 7pm) and all day Sunday.
