Well over two-hundred volunteers contribute annually to keep the Tucson Folk Festival running smoothly. The Tucson Folk Festival can only happen each year with volunteer support. It’s such fun to be a part of this event and we love our volunteers!
In 2022, SAACA will be facilitating our volunteer sign up and coordination through the Volunteer Local website. Thanks to one of our festival sponsors, Elkhorn Ranch, all 2022 Festival volunteers will receive an official Tucson Folk Festival Volunteer T-Shirt at check in! Click on the button below to see all the available positions for upcoming festival along with the shifts scheduled.
We also are actively in need of volunteers throughout the year for our various fundraisers, concerts, and membership events. If you would like to be a Festival or TKMA volunteer, please sign up at the mailing list form below.
And thank you! We can’t make this happen without our volunteers – and we’re all volunteers! It is our incredible volunteers that truly enable the Tucson Folk Festival to remain FREE to the public since 1986!
A MESSAGE FROM YOUR TKMA
VOLUNTEER TEAM
Lynne Jaffe
HELLO to All You Wonderful Volunteers Out There!
Throughout the festival season (July – April) our wonderful community of dedicated volunteers supports many of our fundraising events and contribute to the success of Tucson Folk Festival weekend! Each year’s Festival truly can only happen with the generous contribution of volunteers – be that volunteer worker, performer, staff/board member or sponsor representative! We’re ALL volunteers and we give of our hearts (time and financial support) to keep our festival going. We’re proud to help make the Tucson Folk Festival “one of the oldest FREE folk music festivals in the country!”

Guidelines for Tucson Folk Festival and TKMA Volunteers

Thank you for volunteering for a TKMA event! As the public face of the Festival and the Association, volunteers are asked to abide by the following guidelines whenever actively volunteering at any event associated with TKMA. We might be greeting people, promoting the Folk Festival, and/or handling money during our work shifts. We want your volunteer commitment with TKMA to be a fun and enjoyable experience, yet it is very important that these volunteer positions are accomplished with an attention to detail and a professional demeanor.
Listed below are TKMA Volunteer Guidelines:
- Please leave your pets at home while working in a TKMA volunteer position.
- Please refrain from consumption of alcoholic beverages during your shift.
- Please keep TKMA tables and areas clean and neat and free of personal items, especially food and drinks.
- When selling raffle tickets at areas outside the Raffle Booth, please use provided apron and money pouch.
