SEPT 10, 2017 CONCERT

We are happy to announce we are hosting our next TKMA Song Circle on Sunday, September 10th 1:30 pm – 3:30 p.m. The event location is the fantastic Monterey Court, 505 W Miracle Mile Road, Tucson, AZ  85705. We will gather right after Nancy Elliott’s Breakfast Brunch.  Our special guest artist will be the great Ismael Barajas! Ismael is a master musician and will provide a set of beautiful flamenco, classical guitar pieces, as well as many beautiful Mexican folk instrumental pieces.  

Ismael is a legendary world class guitarist playing major venues in the USA and Mexico. He is a veteran sound recording consultant and engineer, having worked on numerous major artists projects for Capital Records and the now retired Capital Record chief recording engineer, Leslie Jones.  

Our Song Circle is a great place to hear amazing artists like Ismael, and also a fantastic opportunity for our TKMA membership to break out their very own instruments and/or voice, and share songs in our friendly acoustic song circle. We host a round robin circle of songs, music and stories! 

The Song Circle is a free event for all TKMA members in good standing, but please know – we welcome and encourage non-members to stop by watch/listen and enjoy!  And, hopefully, be inspired to join our membership! 

We will have TKMA board members handy to sign you up. Your membership fee and/or donations all go to help us produce our Tucson Folk Festival. Please remember, if becoming a member is not possible, your donation will also help us continue to produce our annual Tucson Folk Festival.
